Perfect Projects

I haven't posted in way to long!!! It seems anytime I sit down to the computer I have tiny hands helping me & or little legs climbing on me! & after she's asleep this mom is tooo tired! But just because I haven't been on the computer doesn't mean I haven't been crafting! Here are a few of my latest projects!

End table makeover to match my dresser!

I wanted an extra car seat for the baby so I didn't have to take mine in & out at the babysitters! I found this seat that was still up-to-date & for super cheap, then put some cuteness into it!!!

And this last one is by far my favorite!!! My sweet Grandma Becca gave me her old sewing machine! & by old I mean OLD! It is 63 years old; she bought it in 1951! I'm IN LOVE with it! & it's in perfect working condition! I can't wait to learn to sew on it! This I will treasure for the rest of my life! I did a black vintage paint job on it & love how it turned out!!

Carefree Cleaner

There is nothing better than a sparkling clean home!!! I personally love it, but the part I hate is the scrubbing & the time it takes to make it SPARKLE!!! Plus I HATE spending lots of money on cleaners + I worry about the chemicals in it with a baby crawling around!

Are you ready for the BEST, most amazing, scrub-free cleaner??? This stuff changed my whole domesticated life!!! It is AWESOME! It works in the kitchen & bathrooms! I spray it on everything I want to be beyond clean, wait for about a half hour then just rub off!!! It took off scrum in my husband's shower that I had scrubbed for what seemed like forever & would never come off! With this stuff it came off with no elbow work. Just wiped it up with a towel!!!

If you have a flat stove range you know all about what happens when a pot boils over & leaves those annoying, tuff to get off spots. I sprayed this on it & even burn spots that had been there for about a year came off!!! It look like a new stove!!!

It also takes off the water stains on silver facets!

All you need is white vinegar, dish soap, baking soda, & a squirt bottle

Heat 12 ounces vinegar in the microwave for 90 seconds

Then put that into a squirt bottle

Then add in 12 ounces dish soap. So equal parts.
Then I added just a bit of baking soda. I didn't measure, just poured in about a few scoops.
Now I'm ready to CLEAN!!!

The water shots are gone!!!

It's pretty embarrassing to show just how disgusting my toilet had gotten! I sprayed all over in the bowl & around then just used a brush to get all the nastiness off & it's sparkling clean!

In the Blink of an Eye...

I watch her as she sleeps; her beautiful angelic face, so sweet, so perfect, so innocent. I touch her little feet & hands; amazed by how much they've grown since the day I brought her home. I think back to the 1st days of her life, rocking her & nursing her. I felt so incredibly complete! Now her sippy cup lays by her side. She's now weaned. Part of my heart is breaking, I can't help but feel a bit of sadness to have this phase of our lives pass. No more mother's milk. How amazing a women's body is!! I've felt empowered like I never have before, to provide the most perfect nutrition for my baby! Although I know I have to let go & let my milk dry up, I look forward to the many special memories we'll make together & she continues to grow, learn, & amaze me even more. The bond we've made is unbreakable & more powerful than anything in this world! I will continue to cherish every moment! My breasts may not be full anymore, but as long as I live my heart will be!

More Mommy Moments

Today I've been thinking about what a miracle & blessing my baby has been in my life!!! She's made me feel complete! Here is a note I wrote in her baby book I read over today! When I'm feeling lost or weak I can read this & feel strong again, moving on & being a better person & MOM!

My eyes flutter open as the first light of morning comes seeping into the room. There you are!! Cuddled up to daddy. We'd all sleep in the hospital bed together that night...our first moments as a family. I hold you in my arms...& in my heart. I know you were always meant to be in both because I've already forgot life before you. You are a part of me & will be for a lifetime. The adrenaline & amazement from the night before subsides & reality sinks in. You're mine! It seems so unreal yet so natural. I settle into Motherhood instantly!
The world is new! The colors of the evening seem more vibrant & more beautiful, however I can't keep my eyes off you. In your car seat, sleeping so perfectly as though it wasn't your first time! My emotions swell inside me but don't show! My life could not be more perfect! All my dreams have come true; we turn the corner to our new home, our new life...together. Time has brought your heart to me...and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Kwintzy, you are an angel sent to me just when I needed you. You've saved me, making me a better person, the person I've always wanted to be...Mom!!!

4th of July JOY

Red, White, & Blue!!! I love the 4th of July! I go all out on my decorations & my celebrating!!!!

I'm so happy with how my tutus & headband turned out!!! I can always make personalized onesies to make a complete outfit! Click on the image you love & it will take you to my Etsy Shop!

Every year I do a patriotic flower pot! This year I added a sunflower to the middle! What's flower is more American than a sunflower!!!

Then I added some wood stars I had made with my sister-in-law! She has tons of fun wood cutouts + she is a 4th of July junkie like me! We also made a cute top hat that I placed by the flower pot!
Then to tie it all together...a cute flag wooden sign we made last year!!! All we did was some wood cut out, paint, a star sticker, & some wire to hold it all together!

I love it!!!!

I got this cute barn wood bench for mother's day! I placed it in my entry way & decided I will decorate it for each holiday!!! SO EXCITED for this!!!
Here it is for the 4TH OF JULY!!!! Keep watching my blog for next holidays décor!

It also works great to take adorable pics of the baby!!!

Baby Baked Oatmeal

I have to add in a mommy moment with this next recipe! I'm even going to brag a little bit! I made this entire recipe with a baby on my hip!
Yes one-handed!
I even cracked the egg with only one hand! It is amazing the things you learn to do while holding a child...dishes, laundry, cooking...you name it, I do it with one hand these days!! Being a mom on the go, you just adapt & quickly! I was hungry & she was ornery...only wanting mommy! So here it is, this delicious baked oatmeal that I'm addicted to & always eating WAY more than my belly can hold! You can use any berry in this in place of the blackberries & I have tried pretty much ever kind including kiwis with strawberries which was really yummy!!! Also blueberries are amazing! I also want to try a mix berry one next time! But for today I had blackberries in the fridge so that is what I used! I hope you enjoy this one as much as me...& the baby!!!!

Baby Baked Oatmeal

First add 2 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats (not the instant kind) to your mixing bowl. Next comes the spices! I never really measure them out but just add quite a bit of cinnamon (I like it ALOT) then a few shakes of ginger & nutmeg + just a pinch of cloves & salt. Next add sugar. I don't like a lot of sugar, especially since the baby is going to be eating it! I added 1/2 of 1/4 cup, but depending on your sweet tooth you could add the full 1/4 cup or even 1/3 cup. Add 1 teaspoon baking powder & mix it all up!

In a separate bowl whisk together 1 egg, 2 cups milk, & 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine.

Slice up those yummy bananas...I used 2 but later wished I would have used 3!
Put them on the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Add some of the fruit of your choice then pour the oatmeal mixture over the fruit.

Last pour the egg mixture over the entire thing & top with more fruit!!!

In a preheated 375 degree oven, bake for 35 to 40 mintues.

Then dish it up! I like to put milk over mine or you could eat it on a plate with some extra fresh fruit or cream...BOTH would be even better!

I love this oatmeal casserole because I made it for dinner then had enough to have breakfast for the next 2 days!

The baby devoured this too & I feel like it is a healthy meal for her! She LOVED the blackberries & had them ALL over her & her highchair! Both of us just couldn't get enough!

Hope you try it & LOVE it!!!
